Philipp Kremers is a PhD candidate in philosophy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. His research interests include social and political philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of technology. His work focuses on bureaucracies and other large socio-technical systems. He is interested in their characteristic epistemic, moral, and political problems (e.g., fragmented understanding and blurred responsibility) and in whether they can nonetheless play a meaningful role in a well-organized society. Prior to Georgetown, Philipp studied philosophy in Oxford, St Andrews, Vienna, and Leipzig. He is originally from the German North Sea coast.
